ABOUT US
This web site is the result of a year’s
research by the communities of Breckles, Happisburgh, Harleston,
Mulbarton and Reepham. Many people have taken part in the
project, both those living within the communities themselves
and those who have now moved away. We should like to acknowledge
the work and assistance of the following people and organisations,
and to offer our sincerest thanks for all of their support.

We are especially indebted to:
- The Reepham Society for access to the
Society archives
- Chris Peakome for his work on copying
old and adding new photographs to those archives
- Michael Black, the past editor of the
Reepham Society magazine who collected a large amount of
material on the local history of Reepham and its constituent
parishes
- Wesley Piercy who has recorded so much
of the recent history of Reepham and also pulled together
the reminiscences of Harry Hawes’ Nineteenth Century
recollections.
Recorded Reminiscences
We have been able to use taped reminiscences
from the archives. Most of these contributors have now died
, either before or since the work on the website started.
(D = deceased)
Much of the collation of the material was
carried out by Kate Nightingale and Joyce Cox, sometimes drawing
on their own previous publications. As a result there are
a number of people who have contributed but to whom we cannot
give recognition and some of whom are now dead. Where possible
we have obtained permission to publish from family members.
