There is much to see and do in Happisburgh, from bird watching to horse riding, from sailing to walking. There are also a number of community activities, sporting clubs and fetes to enjoy. And after a day in the fresh air, why not relax in the pub where Arthur Conan Doyle dreamed up his Sherlock Holmes story of 'The Dancing Men'.
Our village continues to be popular with visitors and holidaymakers who enjoy this peaceful area of the Norfolk Coast and partake in its varied activities. They also appreciate the welcome of the village community and its everyday life and activities. Many people come here simply because they love it, many returning with their families to rekindle childhood memories of summer holidays.
As in many villages, holiday homes and chalets are second homes for many people. Some owners provide rental accommodation for visitors, but many others have become part of the community themselves as long term owners of such places and are an asset to our economy.

- Cycling - a good area with lots of nice villages where you can stop off for a chat and a break
- Horseriding - very popular in this rural area, with some nice tracks and quiet lanes. Beach access for the horses is not for the faint hearted but can be achieved a short distance away.
- Artists and Authors - I am sure many find inspiration here.
- Archaeology - the receding cliffs are a source of interest and some interesting objects have been discovered.
- Boating- Windsurfing- Jet skiing- Diving - The ramp has been lost at Happisburgh, but Walcott and Sea Palling provide access to the waters here.
- Happisburgh is ideal for holidaymakers and their children who want a sunny day and sea and sand, a ball, bucket or a Kite to fly and some space to play.
Our famous Lighthouse opens on certain weekends for visitors to climb to the top. The Church tower opens twice a week enabling you to enjoy the spectacular views. On a clear day you can see the spires of Norwich Cathedral.
The RNLI is very well supported by volunteers, and has a gift shop on the clifftop near the Coastguard shed. There is a Coastwatch hut further along the cliff toward Walcott that provides a lookout for many hours a day.
This village supports many groups and activities enjoyed by locals and visitors alike, these include fetes and a four day Beer Festival at the Hill House Pub. Activities include:

The summer schedule includes Coffee mornings, Fetes, Craft Fairs, Book sales, Car Boot Fair on the clifftop, Art and Photographic exhibitions, a Model exhibition and numerous fund raising events which include Dances, Quiz nights, Art & Craft Fairs, Terrier Shows and a church cycle ride around the other Parish Churches.
The Post Office is like our village HQ and much information about village activities is displayed and gathered here. The Wenn Evans centre is the community hall and sports field. We have a small hall in the centre of the village, the Church Rooms and both venues are used for various clubs and activities.
